Despite the messages and the notes sent to certain ministries and to the teaching staff, UMF's managership has been penalized with the sum of 150 million Lei, after having illegally diminished the salaries of both the teaching and non-teaching staffs. The Labor Inspectorate of Bucharest has supported the measures imposed by the inspectors from the Territorial Labor Inspectorate.
Yesterday, the representatives of the Territorial Labor Inspectorate (ITM) Iasi, together with a group of inspectors from the Labor Inspectorate of Bucharest went to the University of Medicines and Pharmacy (UMF) "Gr. T. Popa" and sanctioned the educational institution with 150 million Lei for not having respected the measures settled after the check from the end of the year, when there were found serious defalcations and encroachments. One of the measures that UMF should have accomplished until the 22 of January was that of paying back the money which had been illegally taken from the salaries of the teaching and non-teaching staffs.
