Only Two Emergency Reception Units for the Hospitals of Iasi

The Ministry of Health has decided that, from the current four units, only two Emergency Reception Units should function in Iasi, namely the ones from St. Spiridon Hospital and from St. Maria Hospital. The Emergency Reception Units from Neurosurgery and St. Joan Emergency Hospitals are going to be turned into some emergency wards, benefiting on the financing from the medical units' budget. A patient having been brought to an emergency ward will be stabilized and then transported to the surgery room or to the clinic where he necessitates hospitalization. UPU (the Emergency Reception Units) will be directly financed by the Ministry of Health.
