Ion Sapdaru, Adi Carauleanu, Teodor Corban, Georgeta Burdujan and Eugen Coseru are the ones that bring to Iasi, through the National Theatre, where they perform, a part of the big prize of the Movie Festival from Cannes received by Cristian Mungiu for the movie "4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days".
A good actor is not necessary an actor from the capital. Even though they played only in a 10 minutes' frame in the movie rewarded at Cannes, the actors of Iasi prove that the National Theatre "Vasile Alecsandri" is appreciated.
The cultural embargo pointed through the difference between province and capital is being crumbled by the new generations. Value is now imposing to the disadvantage of those prejudices by which artists would be classified into provincials and the ones from the capital. Despite these, there is still a certain reticence in this sense. The movie "4 Months, 3 Weeks and Two Days", directed by Cristian Mungiu, obtained the prize Palm d'Or, being the first Romanian film ever recompensed by the big prize, which proves that our national cinema has disabused from the marginalizing label.
