Nu putini suntem cei care ne-am jucat traducand, cuvant cu cuvant, expresii neaose romanesti in vreo limba straina, sau invers. Rezultatul e evident lipsit de noima pentru straini, dar extrem de haios, pentru noi!

• 1. Un roman nu este surprins (A Romanian is not “surprised”), ci i-a picat fata (his “face has fallen off”)
• 2. Un roman nu face atat de multe din foarte putin (A Romanian didn’t just “do so much with so little”), ci face din rahat bici (he “made a whip out of shit”)
